Milton G. Valera
President, National Notary Association
After taking leadership of The National Notary Association in 1982, President and Chief Executive Officer Milt Valera’s guidance led the NNA to become the nation’s most recognized and respected professional Notary organization. Valera — who will be delivering The State of the Notary Public Office, a highly-anticipated address presented annually to conference attendees — also played an indispensable role in professionalizing the Office of Notary Public and helped position the NNA as a valuable resource for government and the business, legal, educational and international communities.
Valera’s many achievements include major contributions to the establishment of influential standards — including The Model Notary Acts of 1984, 2002 and 2010 — and The Notary Public Code of Professional Responsibility, which is today considered the definitive ethical guide for Notaries in the United States.
